Information

Don't miss Sydney's hottest cabaret performing a morning of classic dance trends direct from Broadway!

NSW Seniors Week, Western Sydney Dance Action and Riverside Theatres have partnered to present a FREE cabaret spectacular What is Jazz! The show, which played to sold out houses in 2009, will be hosted by NSW Seniors Week Ambassador Toni Lamond, one of Australia's leading ladies of stage and screen, and feature live music, show stopping dance routines, audience participation and FREE Devonshire tea!

Choreographed by and starring Veronica Beattie (Boy from Oz, Moulin Rouge, Guys and Dolls), Jordan Pollard (Guys and Dolls), Shannon Rizzo and spunky Mashum Liberta, What is Jazz? will feature 1940s & 50s Sinatra-style dance routines performed cabaret fashion within the intimate setting of Riverside's courtyard amphitheatre with vocal accompaniment by the very handsome Steve Hudson.
During the show, Veronica will lead the audience through some simple swing moves.... so bring your dancing shoes!

Devonshire tea will be served directly after, before audience members are invited on a backstage tour to experience the magic of the elegant Riverside Theatre.

What is Jazz? will feature theatre legend Toni Lamond and some of Sydney's finest dance talent.

Tickets are FREE but strictly limited-bookings essential.
