The Ferrython is one of Australia’s best-loved free spectator events. Come on down to Sydney Harbour with your picnic basket and cheer on the little green and yellow catamarans as they race up and down the harbour, battling it out for line honours under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Everyone loves a race, especially when it involves our four favourite little Sydney Ferries decorated and dressed to the nines!
Australia Day Celebrations
Sydney will once again become the perfect playground for thousands of Aussies to celebrate Australia Day on January 26.
Pay tribute to our unique cultural identity amongst Sydney’s iconic landmarks – Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Hyde Park or the city centre. Rise early for the Woggan-ma-gule Indigenous ceremony at Farm Cove from 8am, then take the kids to Hyde Park for the Great Australian BBQ, complete with family friendly entertainment.
Follow the display of pristine vintage cars on Macquarie and College Streets for the NRMA Motorfest and finally, as the sun sets, head to Pirrima Park as Sydney Ports Jazz on the Water serenades you while the sun begins to set.
