Don’t have a DSLR or compact camera but have an Apple iphone?. This practical walking tour workshop will show you how to easily transform average phone-camera photos into creative, artistic images at the touch of a button using your iphone, basic photography composition techniques (close-up, blur, cropping) and specific iphone photo apps.
These apps with their different films (black & white and colour), filters and borders take photography on the iphone to a whole new level - all with a touch of a screen.
The effects you can achieve are stylish and varied - some reminiscent of old analogue film days - as well as great fun (and addictive) because you’re never quite sure what the end result will be as the image ‘develops’ on your phone before your eyes. It’s hard to take a bad photo even if you’re not an aspiring photographer! Once you’ve taken your photos you can save them to your photo library, upload them to your Facebook or Flickr account direct from the iphone app, or email them to your friends to impress them with your cool shots.
During this informal, hands-on 3 hour workshop tour we capture a variety of subjects including quirky close-ups and street photography as we walk through the architectural laneways of inner city Sydney suburbs of Darlinghurst and Paddington.
Workshop suitable for: Whether you are a competent DSLR or compact camera user or have no photography knowledge whatsover, this is a fun workshop for all iphone owners! (Max group size 8).
