Information
Following the huge success of the inaugural Children’s Festival, Canterbury the Children’s Festival Organisation (CFO) is pleased to announce the second Children’s Festival in the Canterbury region. The day will consist of free activities and cultural performances aimed at primary school children.
The Children's Festival Organisation has been steadily growing in size over the last eleven years with festivals in Bankstown. The organisation hopes that the next planned development would see festivals in all major areas of Sydney and NSW and all other states over a period of ten years. The long-term goal is a National Children's Day for the children in Australia.
The aim of the festival is to allow all Australian children to share in the joy of coming together to learn about and understand other cultures, thus contributing to helping us all better live in harmony.
Volunteers dedicated to the cause carry out all work. However, its success is also dependent on the support from the community and other children's support organizations, along with government agencies.
This festival will once again be held in the playground of Harcourt Public School in Campsie. CFO thank Harcourt Public school for their ongoing support.
