Eisenstein has to go to gaol tonight. But first there is a fabulous masked ball to attend at Prince Orlofsky’s. Among the (disguised) guests are his gaoler, Frank, his maid, Adele, and even his wife, Rosalinda. When he finally gets to gaol, he finds that someone else has been arrested in his place –and in his dressing gown no less... Join Opera Bites in this hilarious re-telling of Strauss’ wonderful operetta.
Other operas in the series include "Strange Adventure" - a hilarious romp through Gilbert & Sullivan favourites (Sunday 15th August) and "Madama Butterfly" in just 45 minutes followed by opera highlights (Sunday 29th August).
