This year Helm Bar & Bistro is hosting a cocktail style extravaganza for the race that stops a nation – the Melbourne Cup.
Tuesday, November 2nd will see the waterfront venue Helm Bar & Bistro come alive for a race day celebration spectacular. A plethora of plasma and big screens are being used to ensure everyone has ample view of the action, and TAB facilities are available for all races from 9.00am. Guests of Helm will also enjoy a generous beverage and canapé package, which includes delectable morsels by acclaimed chef Frederic Booms (from 12.00 – 3.00pm) and an unlimited selection of award-winning Blue Pyrenees Leydens Vale Wines, Carlton Beers and soft drink (from 12.00pm – 4.00pm). A best-dressed male and female prize, a losing TAB ticket draw in addition to a multitude of other giveaways will add to the lively race day atmosphere. There is also an incredible main prize on offer of a weekend for two to picturesque Blue Pyrenees Winery in Victoria!
Guests of Helm Bar & Bistro will have full access to both the upstairs bar and new outdoor ‘Lower Deck’ bar situated right on the waters edge, which has additional screens set up especially for race day. For those that want to make the most of race day, energetic band Mr Wilson will be pumping out popular tunes from 6pm, and DJ’s will be playing until late.
