With the Bledisloe Cup commencement just around the corner, Cargo Bar are once again playing host to the annual Bundaberg Rum Wallabies Annual Rugby lunch. Taking place on Thursday September 9, this event is not only a chance for all invited guests to show their support to the Wallabies before their first big game, but also to raise money for an incredibly worthwhile charity.
The Gidget Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to promote awareness of pre-natal anxiety and depression amongst women and their families and to provide as much support as possible in their time of need.
Guests including Wallabies players Matt Giteau and Rocky Elsom (Team Captain) are set to be entertained by football legend Chris “Buddha” Handy who is on board once again this year to host the day’s proceedings. Joining him will be Nick McArdle, host of the popular Fox Sports program “The Rugby Club” who will be on hand to talk all things football.
A live auction will be conducted during the event with prizes including exclusive Bledisloe Cup tickets, signed rugby jerseys, a Dermalogica giftpack and various other fabulous giveaways up for grabs with all proceeds going to the Gidget Foundation.
It’s an event no sports fanatic will want to miss!
