1 - 31 September
Information
Willoughby’s youth will enjoy a host of activities this Spring Festival, with the return of the popular StreetFair Y-Lounge, as well as a bevy of street dance classes, vocal lessons and live music events held at the Chatswood Youth Centre, corner of Victor Street and Albert Avenue, Chatswood.
After an action-packed day at StreetFair’s Y-Lounge, head down to the Chatswood Youth Centre Band Night (5pm - 10.30pm, Saturday 10 September) to hear a top line-up of young bands and performers from the local area, including Northlane, Stand For The Fallen and Critics. $15 per person, with security provided on the night.
Learn how to pop, lock and break at Popping Classes with J-Funk and Yovi (6pm - 7.30pm, Mondays) and Breaking Classes with Khrispy and MK (6pm - 7.30pm, Wednesdays). Whether you’re an experience popper/breaker or you’ve never tried it before, these free classes are a great chance to develop skills and confidence.
Budding superstars can join in the Glee - Vocal Coaching Workshops (5.30pm - 6.30pm, Fridays), free for beginners or experienced vocalists, and the popular ‘girls only’ program Glambition (6.30pm - 9.30pm, Fridays) which will include hip-hop routines and fashion lessons.
Open everyday during Spring Festival from 2.30pm - 6pm, Chatswood Youth Centre offers a great place for young people to hang out, with pool, table tennis, game consoles, a basketball court and a recording/rehearsal studio.
