' Biomorphy' by Flora Mavrommati solo painting and photography exhibition
Art Galleries
opening 29th February 6-8pm, until 4th March 11am-4pm
Information
Shapes from Chloris captured in Australia’s nature and seen in the zygomorphy (bilateral symmetry) of floral formulae, reflect the microcosm-macrocosm relationship. As the human body is mirrored intellectually, according to gestalt optics, in the shapes of butterfly, pole, arabesque and labyrinth, so do the Biomorphic symmetries as archetypes intend to mirror the Human- Earth Consciousness as an attempt to bridge the gap between man and nature. By bringing the archetypes to consciousness we create a balance in mind between reason and intuition, body-soul, male-female.
