Sunday 4 March
Autumn Vibes Free Outdoor Festival

Come into the Garden for Autumn Vibes and experience a festival day of music, dance, food and art showcasing the diverse plant collections of the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney.

Be part of the festival village and hear the beautiful harmonies of a Pacific Island choral performance as well as Japanese flute, didgeridoo and Vanuatu Slit Drum played in-situ.

Enjoy roving performers, classical music in the Rose Garden Pavilion and the Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra, when you can join us for swing dancing on the lawn.

Children of all ages are invited to the Seed Planting (take them home and watch them grow), Lantern Painting and Palm Frond Weaving workshops to be held throughout the day. Sign up on the day at the festival’s information booth.

Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony in the beautiful setting of the Garden conducted by the Chado Urasenke Tankokai Sydney Association. Discover the splendour of an Ikebana installation created by the renowned Sogetsu School of Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement.

Join the Volunteer Guides’ Garden Walk and explore the diversity and history of our plant collections in our Garden gallery.

Also, don’t miss the Gardens in Focus photographic banner exhibition around the Garden or the chance to savour the delicious flavours of food from the Asia Pacific region available for purchase at our specialty stalls.
