Information
Where do you go for a great value family day out? Where can you experience the Australian bush like never before? Just 30 minutes drive north from the start of the Gosford/Newcastle F3 Freeway. Yes, the Australian Reptile Park!
You will be entertained with exciting daily wildlife shows, unique exhibits, Lost World of Reptiles; one of the largest Reptile enclosures and Spider World - the only place in Australia where you will see funnel web spider venom milking! The venom is used by the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories - better known as CSL Limited, to manufacture the only Australian antivenoms that save human snakebite spiderbite victims.
Visit the crocodile enclosure and watch Eric, the largest saltwater crocodile in NSW lunge for his lunch. Meet Ned, the young red kangaroo selected to be part of the Baz Luhrmann epic "Australia" and his best friend "Emu".
Hand-feed friendly kangaroos and say hi to koalas and possums. See Tasmanian devils and learn how the Park is helping to save this endangered Australian icon. Have a photo with a snugly python. See platypus, wombats, dingoes and so much more.
Bring a BIG family and a BIG picnic and use the free gas barbecues under the gum trees or visit the Hard Croc Café; the zoo is set within the Australian bush with nature walks and a children's adventure playground.
