Hayes Theatre Co….A look at what’s to come for the rest of 2017 – 

Hayes Theatre Co, located in the heart of Potts Point, Sydney has put on a showcase, bringing exclusive sneak peaks of their new and up and coming shows to an excited audience. 

Hosted by David Campbell, in an intimate theatre, the night was a fun and casual experience for all attendants. A quick video montage from late last year to now focusing on their productions and workshops, audiences couldn’t wait to see what else they have on offer.

Lisa Campbell is producing a new play Assassins based on the idea of Chares Gilbert Junior. A concept pertaining to the idea of the anger that is filling the world. Moving throughout time to show how power has always ruled the world. Directed by Dean Bryant performances can be seen from the 15th of September 2017.

Melba adapted from the book ‘Marvelous Melba’ by Ann Blainey and directed by Wayne Harrison, comes a new and first time on stage, a performance about Australia’s best soprano singer Dame Nellie Melba and her life on and off the stage. An iconic Australian legend whose life we all know, but not very well. Musical Direction by Michael Tyack with Australia’s most popular opera star Emma Matthews as Dame Nellie Melba herself, it is a production not to be missed. Catch performances from the 11th August 2017.

High Fidelity will also be coming to the Hayes Theatre Co stage this year. Brought to you by director Neil Gooding and music by Tom Kitt, based on the novel by Nick Hornby and the ever so famous movie. High Fidelity tells the story of your classic boy meets girl story but with some of the greatest songs of the time, all set in a record store. Be sure to get your tickets while they last. Toby Francis from the hit Kinky Boots will be playing Rob Gordon. Performances from the 18 th November 2017.

Under the Covers starring Olympic diver Matthew Mitcham will be coming to the stage with a continuation from his multi-award- winning hit show Twists and Turns. Based on his life and what he has gone through, this cabaret special will make you laugh and cry. Directed by Nigel Turner-Carrol be sure to catch a performance for a limited time only from the 19 th of July to the 23 rd of July 2017.

As well as these great shows coming to the Hayes Theatre Company, they will also be hosting Creative Seminars, Producer Skills workshops and neglected musicals. This years neglected musical will be Maime with actress Virginia Gay hitting the stage once again.
