About Us

OUR STORY

"WHAT’S ON SYDNEY” was founded in January 2003 by Philippa Bird.
In 2007,the website and business went under some major development to build a membership base for organisations. Our membership enabled organisations to increase their exposure to our audience. It was in this period of development that WHAT’S ON SYDNEY started to trade under the business name What’s on Downunder (Formally Bird’s Information Guide). Since 2007 the website has developed further to keep up to date with the ever changing internet. In 2015 the design was changed to ensure that the website was mobile friendly.

Our mission is:

To provide the most comprehensive personalised guide of leisure activities throughout Sydney, for Australians and tourists and to support the organisations who manage these activities.

WHAT’S ON SYDNEY is Sydney's leading "What's On" website where Sydneysiders and tourists can find out what's on, in and around Sydney. The site is committed not only to providing valuable information to our audience, but also to supporting the entertainment industry, by offering them free or low cost promotions for their events and leisure activities.
