With a bright and early start (between 6:40 am and 7:20 am, depending upon your pickup location), you’ll be ready to hit the ground running as you board the comfortable bus at either Sydney, Bondi Beach, Kings Cross, Circular Quay or Coogee. You’ll head out of the CBD and into some of the most scenic mountain views in Australia, stopping for morning tea at the base of the mountains.
Your first destination once you reach the Blue Mountains will be the Kings Tableland Lookout. Get your camera out, because the views of the Jamison Valley from here are absolutely awe-inspiring! Following a small amount of time spent at the lookout, you’ll head to Wentworth Falls for your first bushwalk of the day. This one hour (approximately) walk through paradise, down into the valley is worth every minute. Besides seeing the lush vegetation and walking over a variety of terrain – such as swampy areas and cliff top paths – you’ll also come across one of the most beautiful waterfalls you’ll ever see in your life! Wentworth Falls is truly magnificent.
You’ll enjoy a delicious and freshly prepared hamper style family lunch in beautiful surrounds (all dietary requirements catered for), before moving on to the most famous Blue Mountains landmark of all – the Three Sisters. Here you can admire this majestic trio, take photos and be awestruck by the amazing views of the Jamieson Valley below.
After visiting the Three Sisters, you’ll visit another valley for a second bushwalk, giving you the chance to see much more of this amazing World Heritage Listed area. Due to the extremely flexible itinerary of this tour, the second bushwalking site will be selected on the day based on weather conditions and the ability to find an area with the least crowds. You might even want to suggest a specific bushwalking track to your tour guide, as they are always happy to accommodate preferences!
After an enjoyable afternoon of strolling through towering trees and lush flora, you’ll jump back on the tour coach and head back to Sydney, stopping off at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Park along the way (upon request). You’ll return to your original pick up location (or very close to it) at around 5 to 5:30 pm.
This is the only Blue Mountains day trip tour that is run exclusively by guides who have been raised in the Blue Mountains. This means you’ll get the absolute best in local knowledge and a true passion for the areas you’ll visit. This tour requires a medium level of fitness due to the large number of steps and rocks encountered. Don’t panic though – you won’t do anything too strenuous!
