Red Bull Can You Make It? Challenge Launches in Australia

With less than a week to go until Australia's very first Red Bull Can You Make It? challenge kicks off, 60 university students across the country are packing their bags and brushing up on their geography skills in preparation for the adventure of a lifetime.

At 9am AEST on Wednesday 13th August, 20 teams - each made up of 3 students - from all over Australia will set off from 5 starting lines: Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. They will be tasked with the mind and body challenge of travelling hundreds of kilometres across the continent in 5 days, using only Red Bull cans as currency.

Armed with their creativity, charm, wit and entrepreneurial spirit, the teams will trek across the nation without cash or credit cards - only Red Bull cans. The cans will be traded for transportation, lodging, food and other necessities required to reach the final checkpoint at the AJ Hackett Bungy in Cairns, where the teams must take the plunge before crossing the Finish Line.

In total, there are 15 checkpoints spread out across Australia. Teams must visit a minimum of 6 checkpoints to successfully complete the competition. Throughout this epic journey, the teams will be uploading photos of their adventure to rally support from followers back home, and recording a video diary along the way using Sony Action Cams.

The winning team must arrive in Cairns on Sunday 17th August by 5pm, have travelled the furthest distance in the 5 days, reached the most checkpoints, used more transportation methods than any other team and rallied the greatest support following. Only then will they be crowned the Red Bull Can You Make It? champions.

Aside from the glory of being the very first Red Bull Can You Make It? victors in Australia, the winning team will also receive an incredible all-expenses paid holiday to South East Asia courtesy of Contiki Tours Australia, as well as a Sony Action Cam and accessories package to record their memories.
