Year of the Abbott

It's Sydney Fringe and Timothy Hugh Govers and Shane Addison are at the Chippendale Hotel to give Sydneysiders a review of politics from the past year.

It is the good, the bad and the ugly! Probably more ugly than good if I am honest. Not the performance, I hasten to add! Apart from a few technical difficulties with the microphones, which they decided to abandon, it all went very well.

It is a mixture of conversation, interviews and recordings of news and moments in parliament. It must have taken quite some time and lots of forethought to find all the recordings and there were some classics in there. I think what was very obvious by the end of the night is that politicans can't half pull some strange facial expressions!

There are great impersonations of Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott by Nathan Lentern and Jonas Holt.

It was a fun night if you missed it then it is returning at the end of the festival for one more night.

Saturday September 27, 9:30 pm @ The Chippendale Hotel
