Journey – A Bird Week exhibition is an immersive exploration of more than 48 artists and their connections to Australian birds, bringing together artworks that reveal the beauty, character and stories held within our unique birdlife.
From the familiar to the unexpected, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the many ways artists observe, interpret and respond to Australia's birds. Each work offers another perspective on the natural world around us, creating a journey through art, place and birdlife.
The annual Bird Week exhibition coincides with National Bird Week, a yearly October celebration of Australia's extraordinary birdlife and an opportunity to raise awareness of bird conservation.
The Exhibition
Each year, Bird Week takes on a different theme and invites guest artists to contribute their own interpretations. The result is an evolving exhibition that brings together established and emerging artistic voices united by a fascination with Australian birds.
Over the past eight years, the exhibition has raised $29,125 in support of BirdLife Australia.
This year's Journey exhibition continues that tradition, offering an opportunity to experience original artwork while supporting Australia's birds and the work being done to protect them.
