Information
Nangara – 30th Anniversary invites art lovers to revisit a defining moment in contemporary Aboriginal art. Featuring 44 works from the Ebes Collection, this exhibition presents masterworks by Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Ronnie Tjampitjinpa, Maggie Napangardi Watson, and other celebrated artists.
Curated in collaboration with Kate Owen Gallery and Aboriginal Gallery of Dreamings, the exhibition reflects the enduring significance of the original 1996 Nangara show, which played a pivotal role in shaping the global perception of Aboriginal art. Visitors can experience the depth, diversity, and cultural importance of these artworks, and for many, it’s a unique opportunity to see pieces that have not been publicly displayed for nearly 30 years.
Exhibition Dates: 10 April – 10 May 2026 | Location: Kate Owen Gallery, Rozelle, Sydney | Open daily 10am–6pm
