kol isha — Wild Woman

For one night only, kol isha returns to her hometown of Sydney with her immersive live show WILD WOMAN. The New York-based singer, songwriter and producer will perform music from her debut album Wild Woman, alongside unreleased originals and a consciously curated selection of covers. Blending electronic production with acoustic instrumentation, powerful vocals and expressive movement, her performances unfold somewhere between concert, performance art, storytelling and ritual.

kol isha (always written in lowercase) is the new artistic incarnation of Miriam Waks, an Australian-born musical artist now based in New York City. A multilingual vocalist (singing in 18 languages), her work draws on spirituality, mythology and lived experience, exploring themes of identity, feminism, spirituality, technology and the natural world. Her sound moves fluidly across genres — from folk and blues to cinematic pop, electronic and experimental music — unified by a theatrical, deeply felt performance style.
