Born in Bundaberg QLD and raised in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Sara Berki now calls the Hawkesbury home and she is proud & excited to bring her full touring band to the newly refurbished Regent Theatre in Richmond, for Great Southern Nights.
Sara’s combination of timeless storytelling with her modern country sensibilities and herengaging presence have helped establish her as one of the most exciting and prolificnew artists in country music. Less than four years on from the release of her debut single, Sara has grown her catalogue to twenty-one songs released, with over 10 million music streams and 11 million video views to date.
Sara has become a fixture on the Australian country music festival scene, with performances at CMC Rocks (2023, 2024 & 2026), Ridin’ Hearts Festival (2023 & 2025), Groundwater Country Music Festival (2023 & 2025) along with CMA Fest in Nashville and was chosen to perform for the NRLW Grand Final at Accor Stadium in October 2025. Sara’s performance of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads”at the Gabba in 2024 has been viewed more than 22 million times across verified platforms, making her one of the most-watched Australian country artists on YouTube. Sara undertook her first headline tour in 2025, traveling across the country with shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and sold out shows in Wollongong & Perth.
The accolades are growing across the industry too. Sara won the 2024 APRA Professional Development Award for the Country/Americana category, joining alumni like Gotye, Morgan Evans and Fanny Lumsden. Other accolades include being nominated for three Golden Guitar Awards, including Female Artist of the Year and New Talent of the Year in 2026 and she is nominated in three categories in the 2026 Countrytown Awards, including Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (‘Looks Like’) and Australian Tour of the Year.
Special guest on this show will be, William Alexander, one of the freshest new talents in the world of traditional Australian country music. With a rich voice that commands attention, and a deep respect for the music’s legacy, this young singer-songwriter pours soul and storytelling into every one of his heartfelt performances. This show follows hot on the heels of a highly successful Tamworth Country Music Festival for William, where he won his first Golden Guitar Award for Bush Ballad of the Year for his song ‘Wild Roan Brumby’ (co-written with Pete Denahy).
Sara will also be on the hunt for a local emerging artist to open the show to complete what is sure to be a magic night at the iconic The Regent Theatre.
