Little Miss Typecast
A Coming-of-Age Cabaret About Growing Up in the Spotlight
Stuck playing the kid while everyone around her gets to grow up, Chloe Halley is pint-sized, pigeonholed and politely losing it. Little Miss Typecast arrives at Qtopia Sydney’s Pride Fest with sharp wit, powerhouse vocals and enough dance breaks to cause a minor theatrical emergency.
Blending cabaret, comedy and coming-of-age chaos, the show dives headfirst into the strange world of child stardom, typecasting and the desperate need to finally be taken seriously. Featuring killer songs, quick-fire humour and more than a few wigs, this is a bold and hilarious theatrical confession from a performer determined to outgrow the role she never asked to keep playing.
Big Vocals, Bigger Identity Crisis
Part cabaret spectacular and part existential spiral, Little Miss Typecast explores what happens when the industry decides exactly who you are before you’ve had the chance to figure it out yourself.
Directed by Dom Hennequin alongside Associate Director and Creative Consultant Dolly Diamond, the production combines theatrical chaos, heartfelt storytelling and razor-sharp comedy into one high-energy hour of performance.
