Met Concert 2026
A Night of Dazzling Colour & Elemental Rhythm

The Metropolitan Orchestra’s second Met Concert for 2026 promises a night of dazzling colour and elemental rhythm. Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, this performance showcases the orchestra’s longtime support for talented Australian musicians with a world premiere work from composer Graeme Brown titled Endangered Species.
Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol sparkles with Spanish folk inspiration and brilliant orchestral colour, while Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte offers a moment of poised beauty and nostalgia. The concert concludes with Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, a masterpiece blazing with shimmering magic.
