Celebrating
The Centenary of Louis Armstrong’s first recordings under his own name with his Hot Five band in November 1925.
The fiftieth anniversary of the two-trumpet Tom Baker’s San Francisco Jazz Band’s first sensational public performances at the Australian Jazz Convention in Balmain in December 1975.
The eightieth anniversary of the two-clarinet Dutch Swing College Band’s formation in May 1945. This world-famous band is still going strong today.
The Hotel will play recorded music of these bands from 11:30 am until the live music starts.
