Sydney Jazz Club contributes to the cost of a young musician attending the Jazz Workshop Australia annual summer camp in Katoomba. In return the Orchestra plays for Sydney’s (Australia’s) best Wednesday Lunchtime Jazz Gig. Led by Dr Saul Richardson, the (about) 20 piece orchestra plays all the big band music we love and some of their arrangements are outstanding (see the link below).. In 2025, they were fantastic and we had much demand from members to ave them back again.
As there is an age limit on members of the band, several players will have changed but they have been at Marimbula, Chatswood Concourse, Lazybones, and several other major Sydney Jazz venues as rehearsals for Sydney Jazz Club performance.
