Join us to celebrate Himalaya Day 2025
May 29th, Himalaya Day, holds a special place in the history and heritage of the Australian Himalayan Foundation (AHF). This significant day marks the anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay’s trailblazing first ascent of Mt. Everest in 1953—a moment that not only reshaped mountaineering history but also laid the foundation for decades of humanitarian work in the Himalaya.
We invite you to join us in celebrating our shared love for the Himalaya and the humanitarian work that Sir Ed inspired. Together, we honour the resilience and strength of the people of the Himalaya and toast to the spirit of adventure and generosity that continues to drive our mission to uplift communities across the region.
Join us for an unforgettable evening with the AHF team, ambassadors and special guests, as we celebrate the spirit of the Himalaya. Enjoy a feast of delicious Indian or Nepalese cuisine, win fantastic raffle prizes and test your knowledge with Himalayan trivia. Come along and be inspired by powerful stories from the region and the latest updates on the life-changing impact of AHF’s programs.
