Australia’s biggest Halloween festival is back!

From 29 October to 1 November 2026, Ghost Festival takes over The Rocks for four nights of Halloween, transforming Sydney’s historic streets and laneways into a haunted playground.

Expect Halloween food and drinks, themed bars, live music and DJs, markets, roaming performers and larger-than-life installations — all with Sydney Harbour as the backdrop.

See giant tentacles spilling from buildings, six-metre spiders lurking in the laneways, and familiar corners transformed with lights, colour and all kinds of Halloween mischief.

Bring the kids, rally your friends, dress up or simply come along to see The Rocks like you’ve never seen it before.

And the best part? The street festival and live street entertainment are FREE.

On Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, the festival gets even bigger, with George Street and the Overseas Passenger Terminal closing to traffic from 7pm to midnight, opening up even more of The Rocks to the festival crowd.

There’s plenty more to come, with food, music, entertainment, Halloween experiences and special collaborations being revealed throughout the lead-up.
