Sydney’s Jolly Christmas Market

From Customs House to The Rocks, Sydney's Harbour is about to go full Christmas mode for 11 nights and two full weekends.

From 11 to 21 December 2025, the Jolly Market will transform Circular Quay into a glowing celebration of all things festive, delicious, and distinctly Australian.

This year, Jolly returns to Circular Quay to create Sydney’s biggest and totally free Christmas market. Stretching from Customs House to The Rocks, the free-entry Christmas night market will feature over 120 curated stalls, celebrating the joy of Christmas, the flavours of local producers, and the creativity of Australian artisans.

Think handmade gifts, gourmet street food, boutique wineries, and craft distilleries, all under a canopy of fairy lights by the harbour.

A Made-for-Sydney Christmas Celebration

“Sydney deserves a Christmas celebration that feels as grand and joyful as the city itself. Jolly is our way of giving the city back a little magic, something that brings people together at night, supports local makers, and celebrates Christmas’ balmy summer nights in true Sydney style,” said Vincent Hernandez, Founder and Managing Director of BBR Group, the creative team behind Jolly Market.

What began three years ago as a small Christmas activation has now grown into one of Sydney’s most anticipated festive traditions.

Jolly has become more than a market, it is a full precinct celebration, giving Sydney the Christmas experience it deserves: bold, joyful, beautifully Australian, and alive long into the night.

Wine & Dine, Harbour-Side

This year, the Wine & Dine Village on Tallawoladah Lawn and First Fleet Park will shine a spotlight on New South Wales’ best wineries and distilleries, featuring names like Petersons Family Wines, Savannah Estate, Cooks Lot Wines, Tractorless Vineyard, and Ester Spirits, alongside Ambrosia Distillery, Hold Fast Distillery, Burly Gin, and Aihiki.

Visitors can enjoy complimentary tastings and free daily masterclasses hosted by the winemakers themselves, a great opportunity to meet the makers, discover boutique labels, and pick the perfect bottle for the Christmas table.

From gourmet bites to chocolate-infused sparkling wine and signature cocktails, Jolly’s waterfront village will be the festive heart of taste and cheer.

The Sounds of Summer Nights

From smooth jazz to acoustic soul and reimagined Christmas classics, the sounds of the season will echo through Circular Quay, creating a vibrant atmosphere where locals and visitors alike can shop, sip, dance, and celebrate beneath the summer sky.

Sydney’s Christmas night market is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors across its 11-night run, drawing Sydneysiders, domestic travellers, and cruise passengers into the city’s heart.

Jolly is about highlighting the richness of our land through artisan products, gourmet local produce, boutique wineries, and distilleries. We want this event to be a place for makers and creatives to share their craft, and for our community to connect. And of course, it should be jolly, filled with live music that lifts the spirit. With local performers playing smooth jazz, acoustic soul, and happy rhythms that make you want to wander, sip, taste, dance, and smile under the balmy night.
