Children’s Book Launch at Wylie’s Baths Coogee

Make a splash where history began. Join us at Wylie’s Baths for the launch of a remarkable new children’s book inspired by the true story of pioneering Australian swimmers Fanny Durack and Mina Wylie. In 1912, when women were first allowed to compete, Australia hesitated to send them. Determined to change that, they won gold and rewrote history.

This special event brings their story to life in the very place it all began. Families are invited to enjoy a live reading, meet the author and illustrator, and take part in a meaningful celebration of courage, friendship and determination.
