Scene Theatre Sydney presents The Good Soldier Švejk, a witty and thought-provoking modern stage adaptation of Jaroslav Hašek’s celebrated comic novel.
Cheerful, unshakeable, unpredictable and seemingly simple, Josef Švejk is one of Europe’s most beloved comic characters. As he navigates military orders, bureaucracy and absurd authority, Švejk survives - and quietly subverts - a world that has gone completely mad.
Adapted by Artistic Director Carol Dance, this 90-minute production combines comedy, satire and theatrical bite, bringing a European literary classic to life in an intimate Sydney CBD setting.
