Easter Encampments at Middle Head: Walk and Film Screening

Step into a time when Middle Head / Gubbuh Gubbuh was transformed into a sea of military tents, drills and mock battles.

As part of the National Trust Australian Heritage Festival, join the Harbour Trust for a special event exploring the Easter Encampments — large-scale military training camps held here in the late 1800s, where volunteer soldiers gathered each year for drills, demonstrations and public spectacle.

This event includes a guided walk with military historian Brad Manera, followed by a screening of three short films that bring this remarkable period to life.

Can't make the premiere and walk? Each of the three short films will be played on a loop from 12pm to 2pm.
