Short Music Courses at the Con

The Open Academy at The Con offers a range of short music courses for adults, both face to face and online, who want to pursue their life-long desire to learn music basics or to extend their musical knowledge.

These courses are practical and engaging and students come from all walks of life and they range in age from 16 to 86 and beyond! Our tutors are some of the best teachers and musicians around and the learning environment is a friendly and collaborative one.

Classes include; Music Fundamentals or Vocal Fundamentals, Impro Basics, Jazz Guitar, Vocal Horizons, Soul ensemble, Jazz ensemble, Music Composition, Jazz Harmony, Contemporary and Classical singing, Jazz piano, Composing for film, songwriting and much more!
