Sydney Final Australian Poetry Slam 2026

Sydney's top poets take the stage to compete in the Australian Poetry Slam 2026 Sydney Final. Five judges pulled at random from the audience decide the winner at every stage, putting the crowd, not the critics, in charge of who moves forward.

Hosted by Dai Moret, the evening features original poetry performed in the Australian Poetry Slam's signature two-minute format. Expect sharp language, raw storytelling, and a packed room backing their favourites. Fifteen years of running this event means Word Travels knows how to put on a show.
