A Global Online Singing Competition

It's been a hard couple of months for musicians in Australia and around the world. With concerts, competitions and rehearsals cancelled for most of the year and with many feeling isolated and struggling financially and creatively, we are all turning to the arts for comfort. Music has never been more important.

The Music & Opera Singers Trust is thrilled to announce: ASC@Home

A Global Online Singing Competition

Singers of Classical and Opera, Jazz, Contemporary, and Music Theatre over the age of 18 are encouraged to enter ASC@Home, an online international singing competition that gives singers the opportunity to showcase their talent to the world while we struggle through this isolation together. Winners in each category will win cash prizes of $1000AUD.

To enter, singers will video record their performances from the comfort of their own home and upload them to YouTube where they will be enjoyed across the globe.

From there, virtual judging will operate in two rounds. The first round will be judged by the public who will select 20 finalists by audience vote. A celebrity judge in each category will select a winner from these 20 talented singers to take home the cash prize.

There is NO entry fee and NO voting fee.

Internationally celebrated operatic soprano Nicole Car will judge the Classical and Opera round from her Paris Apartment. Judges in other categories will be announced soon.

We're all in this together and music can help us through.

Stay safe and enter ASC@Home.

Entries open 20 April.
