Banksy Exhibition Review

The Art of Banksy: “Without Limits”

Entering into the world of Banksy is subversive, fun, and heartbreaking all at once. Subversive because the exhibition is held in Sydney's beautiful Town Hall. Celebrating graffiti art in such a place feels utterly ironic. It's also fun because graffiti art appeals to the rebel in all of us (and you can do a bit of spray painting while you're there), plus lots of Banksy's work has plenty of dark humour. But as you take in the show, you can't help but reflect on the conflict happening in parts of the world today. In particular, the terrible impact on the lives of children that hold no power to defend themselves against the decisions of the adults in charge.
This show and Banksy's message is as relevant as ever.
