Briefs: Close Encounters

The Sydney Festival is in full swing and the Spiegeltent is always a great place to go to see something out of the norm.  The Festival Village is right next door in Hyde Park so you can have a full night of jam packed fun.

Australia’s own boylesque guys are back in Sydney for the Festival bringing their show Briefs: Close Encounters.  The Performers arrive from the future from outer space to spread the word that the human race will survive and have a happy future.  The show is full of glitz, glamour, long eye lashes and high heals! It includes feather dancing, hoop-twirling, juggling, aerial acrobatics and bird-cage contortions.

Director Fez Fa’anana performs in the show as the glamorous Shivannah and banters with the audience. There are some underlining political statements made and they seem to have some beef with the council. His new show Close Encounters is in true Briefs style, - circus, drag, burlesque and cabaret rolled into one. The performers showed great strength and some of the routines were breathtaking.

After the show you do have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the guys!

It was a fun night out and enjoyed by all, if you hear people talking about it and you don't see it you will be so jealoussssss!
