Pure Magic
Two of our team members headed west to The Coliseum on Boxing Day to experience Cirque Alice, and a quick warning: this review contains unfiltered praise. There is virtually nothing we could fault. The show is, quite simply, pure magic.
Exceptional Hospitality From The Coliseum & West HQ
Before the performance even began, the experience was elevated by the outstanding staff. Despite arriving slightly late and needing more accessible seating due to a personal injury, every team member we encountered was warm, efficient, and genuinely accommodating. Their professionalism set the tone for a wonderful evening.
A Spectacular Reimagining of Wonderland
Cirque Alice reimagines Lewis Carroll’s classic tale with breathtaking creativity, celebrating one of literature’s most iconic fantasy worlds. Transforming it into a captivating two-hour show suitable for all ages.
Alice in Wonderland is such an iconic and beloved story that there is always the fear that retelling it could be disappointing, but that is not the case with Cirque Alice. This production has created a distinctly modern classic that shines on every level. Cirque Alice is an immersive aural and visual adventure.
Cirque Alice is an absolute feast of modern circus, blending aerialists, acrobatics, puppetry, dancing, gymnastics, humour, audience participation, singing, juggling, and even virtuoso rabbit violinists. All of this unfolds against a soundtrack of newly arranged remixes of classical favourites, adding a fresh and unexpected twist. The sound and lighting production is equally spectacular - from rooftop LEDs to falling glitter bombs, it is a flawless visual and auditory experience.

A Brilliant Creative Team Deserves Special Mention
The production’s polish is no accident. While most reviews will credit the performers, (and this cast must be credited for spectacular and incredible performances in Cirque Alice), I would like to particularly highlight the exceptional behind-the-scenes team.
The sound, lighting, production design, costumes, and scripting are all superb. It is a show executed with remarkable skill and artistry. To the entire creative team: please take a bow.
Final Verdict
Cirque Alice is a triumph, a joyous, imaginative, and visually spectacular journey into one of the world’s most beloved fantasy realms. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
