Drink! Paint! Create!

An art class where you can drink wine, eat cheese, chat with friends…and create a painting that will have you thinking you are the next Picasso, all the in space of two hours?

Welcome to the modern way of creating art. Not your typical art class, Australia’s first paint and sip studio began in Melbourne by professional, local artists, and has become such a hit they have expanded Australia wide with two studios in  Sydney: Crows Nest and Darlinghurst.

Modern, sophisticated studios with professional local artists at the helm, all you do is pick your art theme of choice, book online, and turn up to class. Think you’re the next Banksy? Sign up for a ‘Create Your Own Banksy’. Want to paint your friend? The ‘Paint Your Mate’ sessions sell out bigtime. Then there are the Summer Nights, Moonlight Love, Surf Shacks, Paint Your Pet, Japanese Bonsai…the themes are endless. Not only endless, but you can also freestyle, improvise and add your own artistic touch.

I chose the dreamy romance of the Summer Moon theme, and slightly freaked out because I had not painted since I was in highschool. But my fears were soon laid to rest as my group full of couples and friends all seemed to be in the same boat, which was made easy as our uber talented teacher, Sam, helped with any techniques that needed touching up and any questions we had. A quick talk about colour matching, and using our various brushes and the rest was left to our imagination. As the class progressed so too did our confident use of paint and designs…and being done with acrylic paint there was no concern for it never drying.

By the end of the class I was so impressed with my artwork I was already planning my next theme night to book into. Starry Night Sydney, here I come!

Also great for team building, hens parties, and rainy days.

Remember: Absolutely No Experience Necessary.
