Love Actually? The Musical Parody Returns to Sydney

A hilariously untraditional Christmas tradition filled with festive fun, laughter, and rom-com chaos.

Make this Christmas a cheeky one – packed with big laughs, ho-ho-ho’s, and nonstop outrageous humor. From the creators of Friends! The Musical Parody, this off-Broadway smash hit transforms the beloved holiday film Love Actually into a laugh-out-loud musical experience like no other. Premiering for the first time in Sydney, Love Actually? The Musical Parody is the ultimate untraditional Christmas tradition for anyone aged 15 and above.

Following nine different couples on a quest for love across the pond, the show takes aim at every awkward encounter, over-the-top declaration, and heartfelt mix-up from the original film. With clever original songs including Keira Knightley Actually and He’s the Prime Minister of Rom Coms, audiences can expect a sharp, satirical romp that joyfully spoofs modern holiday clichés, romance tropes, and movie magic itself.

After a sold-out Melbourne premiere that left audiences in stitches and begging for more, this larger-than-life production returns to the stage just in time for the festive season. Expect bold performances, outrageous costumes, and a heart-warming dose of comic chaos that will have you laughing from start to finish.

This year, Sydney audiences can catch the show at Darling Quarter Theatre from 27 November until 23 December, with tickets already selling fast. The show will also be available at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre from 5 December till 23 December, and at the Brisbane Showgrounds from 11 December until 21 December, spreading its irreverent Christmas spirit across the east coast.

Each city will feature a talented local cast hand-picked through open auditions in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Every performance promises a night of unforgettable entertainmentthat celebrates love, laughter, and the wonderfully messy joy of the holidays.
