“Lightscape- An immersive experience for all”.

As the Vivid festival quickly approaches the City of Sydney will turn into the city

of lights and the heart of Chatswood will transform into an interactive oasis with

Lightscape from the 25 th of May. This is a celebration of art, life, food and fashion

with a strong focus on sustainability and environmental consciousness.

With 2.3 million people attending the festival in 2017 the vibrancy of this event

will surely draw in similar crowds.

The catalogue of artworks is iridescent and captivate an audience from streets

away. Sound and light mingle as they create immersive experiences for the

public to engage with.

The concourse is transported to space as NASA imagery cascades onto the

buildings and steps creating a 360 immersive experience where you can see the

cosmos float on you.

Crank Zappa the jellyfish lives up to his name and is boisterous and illuminating.

In this environmentally conscious project the community helped to collect

bottles to create the creature. This artwork is mesmerizing and glistens in its

space surrounded by the shops and markets.

A festival wouldn’t be complete without food. The famous Black Star Pastry has a

stall and will be creating a color changing tea. The street will be transformed into

market stalls built from recyclables inspired by the shantytown architecture of

Brazil.

Vivid 2018 is an experience for the soul, mind and taste buds. So get ready to

step into a different world and transported to a place of what can only be

described as pure imagination.
