Fabled venue The Tackleshack was active at Splendour In The Grass 2006-2023 as an 'off the map' place for VIPs and other reprobates to hang loose. Hosted by Colonel Waylon P. Flawstane, assisted by a sprawling number of 'fambly' members, it has entered the pantheon of legendary juke joints.
Drawing inspiration from the dirt floored bait shop bars near The Colonel's home in Dry Prong Louisiana, The Tackleshack is a place to soak up the music of the Deep South and beyond.
Your host THE COLONEL is a nationally renowned DJ who plays country & Western, vintage soul, 50's R'n'b & rock'n'roll, swamp blues, bluegrass and country music.
He will be joined by his extended Tackleshack Fambly, along with live performances from psychobilly electrifiers WHITE KNUCKLE FEVER, surf twang maestros LOS MONAROS & garage rock stars THE KING HITS.
There will be great food, a FULL bar, fire dancing and the BIG RIVER BOYS playing acoustic country music around the fire pit. It's a mini festival!!! Yeee Haaaa!!
