Sessions on the Pier: Time & Tide

Now in its third edition, Sydney Chamber Choir's much-loved series fusing classical, jazz and popular song returns, celebrating the beauty and rhythm of the changing seasons. In the intimate surrounds of The Neilson on Pier 2/3 by the harbour, Sam Allchurch as well as Naomi Crellin and Nick Begbie of award-winning a cappella ensemble The Idea of North lead the Choir and a jazz trio in a program of warmth, reflection and joy.

Britten’s The Succession of the Four Sweet Months and Joe Twist's On the Night Train illuminate the poetry of the natural world and are complemented by imaginative arrangements of favourites including the Beach Boys' Their Hearts Were Full of Spring, the Beatles' Here Comes the Sun, Gershwin's Summertime and Autumn Leaves made famous by Nat King Cole. Time & Tide blends elegance, swing and lyrical beauty in a celebration of the turning year.
