A Celebration of African Culture, Heritage and Community
The Africultures Festival celebrates the rich heritage, diversity and vibrancy of Africa through a colourful day of music, dance, food, fashion, arts and community.
Bringing together people from African nations now living across Sydney, the festival provides an opportunity for the wider community to experience, understand and celebrate the many cultures, traditions and stories that make up the African diaspora.

Celebrating Culture Together
Auburn is renowned for its cultural diversity, and the Africultures Festival is a vibrant example of people from different backgrounds coming together to celebrate their heritage while sharing their culture with the wider community.
Alongside the performances, food and markets, visitors can take part in interactive activities, sporting clinics and cultural workshops. A special cinema program also explores stories of peace, healing, humanity and hope from across Africa.
Coordinated by the Somali Welfare & Cultural Association in conjunction with Auburn City Council and community organisations, the festival creates a welcoming space for people of all cultures to come together and celebrate diversity.
