Clarinetist Jared Mundell and Australian Composer/Pianist Margaret Brandman combine forces to present and hour of music filled with memorable melodies and engaging rhythms, featuring the world premiere Margaret Brandman’s LA VIDA APASIONADA suite of eight works reimagined for Clarinet and Piano, plus German conductor/composer Claus Ogerman’s jazz arrangement of Bach’s Valse, and selections from the Great American Songbook and the Golden Age of film.

Margaret Brandman is an internationally renowned, award-winning composer. In 2025 her works were performed in Australia, London and Carnegie Hall New York. Brandman works are included in recommended performance lists for HSC and AMEB and AGMS examinations. In a career of over 50 years she has gained international standing as accomplished pianist, recording artist, accredited piano teacher, arranger, music educator, and author/publisher of a range of quality music publications. Her works air regularly on ABC Classic FM, Fine Music 102.5 and international radio stations including WCNY (New York) and Radio UNAM (Mexico City).

Jared L.S. Mundell is a highly-awarded graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In addition to his B.Mus and M.Mus degree in Clarinet, he holds several honourable awards from reputable European and American International Music competitions. In the USA he studied for his masters in Southern California, freelanced in San Francisco with local and visiting artists, including Rimsky-Korsakov Quartet on their SF tour. Highlights include performing with the SYO, at a chamber music concert at Sydney Opera House, two Fine Music FM Young Performer broadcasts and one for ABC Classic FM, and concerts for his music accessibility project.
