The Glendronach Presents: An Ode to the Highlands

Step beyond the tasting glass and into the Scottish Highlands with an immersive whisky experience to celebrate 200 years of The Glendronach.

This winter, The Glendronach Single Malt Whisky, is inviting you to experience a new immersive whisky foraging trail popping up at the Ace Hotel Sydney from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July.

Part hidden whisky bar, part sensory foraging trail, the experience invites guests to journey through four immersive chapters inspired by The Glendronach's Masters Anthology Collection, exploring the whisky through flavour, aroma, sound and texture while discovering the story behind the distillery's 200-year history.

The one hour experience begins in the Highlands House bar, where guests are welcomed with cocktails featuring The Glendronach’s signature 12 Year Old Scotch to whet the palate.

The Trail

The Master’s Anthology is a collection of fine single malts from The Glendronach, where our Master Blender invites you to experience the breadth and depth of sherry cask maturation. Each expression pursues the exceptional in character and taste, composed to celebrate different aspects of our rich and rewarding Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The first stop, Ode to the Valley, invites guests to forage amongst moss, foliage and natural textures to uncover their first dram of The Glendronach.

From there, guests continue into Ode to the Embers, where an exclusive pairing showcases smoked jersey curd, charred beetroot, scorched bonito, ponzu, daikon, ginger and citrus - designed to complement the warmth, richness and depth of the whisky.

The journey then shifts into Ode to the Dark, where sight gives way to scent. Guests will explore the aromas that define The Glendronach through a bespoke Highland-inspired guided nosing experience.

Returning to Highlands House, guests are invited to continue exploring with additional whisky tastings, signature cocktails and elevated snacks available from the bar. Alongside The Glendronach's celebrated single malts, guests can enjoy serves including the Spanish Highball and Bramble Sour, accompanied by a menu of contemporary bar snacks curated by the Ace Hotel team.

Highlands House bar will be open until 11:30pm on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 July.
