Opera in the Pub - "Drinking Songs"

Opera . . . in a pub? You heard right! Opera Bites brings best-loved opera hits to the relaxed atmosphere of your local pub.

Opera Bites has partnered with the Keg & Brew Hotel in Surry Hills to bring you the world’s favourite opera highlights in the relaxed environs of a great local pub.

Tickets include a 90-minute, fully costumed show, upstairs (Level 2) at The Keg & Brew. Show starts 7.30pm.
Fabulous food and drinks available for separate purchase at the venue. All day kitchen open till 10pm for pre-, mid- or post-show dining.

Drinking Songs - From rustic inns to effervescent and glamourous parties, the world of opera is full of drinking songs! Although, often when we’re singing about drinking in opera, we’re actually singing about something else entirely – love, loss, revenge, loneliness, having a bit of fun or a good time. What better place, therefore, to explore these catchy tunes than the pub! Come and join in your favourite drinking songs from La traviata, Carmen, Die Fledermaus and more. Fully costumed and presented in Opera Bites’ inimitable style.

Early bookings are highly recommended as our Opera in the Pub events regularly sell out.

The Level 2 Function Room also has lift access. Ample street parking available (some metered and some free after 6pm). Central Station and Light Rail is a 2 minute walk away.
