Get Sando

Get Sando is a new Australian play being produced by Wonderland Productions premiering at Flightpath Theatre and running from November 12th-24th, 2025.
Set in a beachside village, GET SANDO is a dark family comedy about online journalist Brianna who moves in with her boomer parents while she is temporarily homeless. She embarks on mission to expose Sando, a local councilor with a shady past. She finds herself in a battle with her activist mother that threatens to turn into full-scale intergenerational war. Marian is a retired social worker struggling to put her stressful career behind her but Brianna’s obsession with Sando forces Marion to question her past actions and her ethics. Brianna finds a surprising ally in local misfit Micky who is on a personal vendetta to get Sando who she suspects is involved in a cold case murder. Caught in the crossfire between mother and daughter is Bill, a hobby farmer who is preoccupied with raising chickens. While mother and daughter battle for the high moral ground, Micky is hellbent on bringing Sando to justice.
The play is a dark comedy. Blending witty satire with heartwarming family drama, Get Sando is a murder mystery with intergenerational conflict at its heart. It explores topical themes that mirror the challenging world we currently navigate - where the fight for justice often leads to more injustice. It takes the audience into a world of boomers versus millennials, retirement versus entitlement, boozy book clubs, local council corruption, environmental activism and the joys and perils of raising chickens.
