Winter Markets will bring community spirit, local makers, gourmet food and coastal charm to Sydney from June to August 2026.
Winter arrives gently in Sydney. The mornings begin with a sharper edge to the air, jackets emerge from wardrobes, and steam rises from takeaway coffee cups carried through parks, beaches and town squares. While much of the city turns its attention indoors, another tradition begins to unfold across neighbourhoods and waterfronts. The arrival of the Winter Markets will create gathering places where communities can slow down, wander, and reconnect during the cooler months.
Across Sydney, a series of Winter Markets presented by Cambridge Markets will bring together local makers, artisans, food producers and performers in some of the city's most familiar public spaces. From leafy parklands in the inner west to beachfront reserves and bustling village centres, each event will offer a different perspective on winter in Sydney.
Rather than grand spectacles, these markets will celebrate something quieter: the pleasure of spending time outdoors, meeting local creators and discovering the character of a place through the people who gather there.

Winter Markets Begin In Burwood
The season will commence with the Winter Markets at Burwood Park on Saturday 13 June 2026.
In the heart of Sydney's inner west, Burwood Park has long served as a communal backyard for local residents. Its broad lawns and mature trees provide a natural setting for community events, and during the market, the park will take on a festive but relaxed atmosphere.
Visitors will wander between stalls featuring boutique fashion, jewellery, homewares, handmade products and gourmet food. The experience will feel less like a shopping trip and more like a leisurely day in the park, punctuated by conversations with makers and the scent of freshly prepared food drifting through the grounds.
Families will find plenty to keep younger visitors entertained. Live performances from local music and dance schools will bring energy to the stage, while puppet shows, giant bubbles, rides and a petting farm will create moments of delight throughout the day.
The setting reflects what makes these Winter Markets distinctive: a focus on community gathering as much as commerce.
Winter Markets After Dark In Manly
A different atmosphere will emerge later in June when the Winter Markets arrive in Manly.
On Thursday 25 June 2026, The Corso will become part of the wider Rise Manly Festival, a ten-day celebration designed to brighten the shortest days of the year. Here, the market experience will shift from daytime browsing to an evening event illuminated by projections, performance and winter light.
As dusk settles across the beachfront precinct, visitors will move between stalls showcasing art, fashion, jewellery, candles, skincare and creative handmade products. Live music and entertainment will add to the atmosphere, while nearby cafés, restaurants and bars will contribute to the rhythm of the evening.
The combination of sea air, winter temperatures and illuminated streets will give the event a distinctly coastal character. Unlike traditional daytime markets, the Manly gathering will encourage visitors to linger after sunset, experiencing one of Sydney's most iconic beachside destinations from a different perspective.
Winter Markets By The Ocean In Cronulla
By late July, the Winter Markets will move south to Cronulla, where the coastline becomes an integral part of the experience.
Held across Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July 2026 at Don Lucas Reserve, the two-day event will unfold beside the beach, with ocean views accompanying every stroll through the market stalls.
Cronulla possesses a unique winter appeal. The crowds are smaller than during summer, the beaches feel more spacious, and the coastline takes on a calmer rhythm. Against this backdrop, visitors will explore a curated mix of boutique fashion, art, ceramics, jewellery, handmade goods and gourmet food.
Families will find a welcoming atmosphere with rides, face painting and free entertainment throughout the weekend. A pickleball demonstration court presented by The Picklr Cronulla will also introduce visitors to one of Australia's fastest-growing sports, adding an interactive element to the event.
Yet the strongest draw may simply be the setting itself. With the ocean stretching beyond the reserve and winter sunlight reflecting off the water, the market will become part of the landscape rather than separate from it.

A Village Atmosphere At Wentworth Point
The final chapter of the Winter Markets season will unfold at Wentworth Point on Saturday 8 August 2026.
Positioned beside the waterfront and opposite Marina Square Shopping Centre, Town Square has become a focal point for one of Sydney's fastest-growing communities. During the market, the space will transform into a temporary village centre where residents and visitors can gather, browse and spend time together.
Artisan stalls will showcase handmade products, fashion, gifts, homewares and gourmet treats. Children will enjoy rides, giant bubbles and puppet performances, while live entertainment and community activities will create movement throughout the day.
What distinguishes the Wentworth Point event is its reflection of a changing Sydney. New apartment buildings, waterfront pathways and evolving public spaces have reshaped the suburb in recent years. The market will provide an opportunity for the community to come together and define its own local traditions.
Like the other Winter Markets, it will be as much about place as it is about products.
