Information
Hosted by the Sydney School of Practical Philosophy in Wahroonga as part of the annual Plato week, a public lecture by Dr David Horan will be held on Sunday December 14 at 3:00pm.
Dr Horan will be exploring with the audience what is meant by the “middle path” in politics. He will examine how Plato settles on a balance between two forms of workable government, “Democracy and its Opposite”. He will give examples from ancient and modern times to illustrate the practicality and relevance of Plato’s thought. In addition, he will field open questions from the audience.
